Pointed Press, a Custom Letterpress Studio in Philadelphia

This commissioned project of limited edition of anthologies was created for a handful of special donors to the new Arts and Sciences building at the University of Pennsylvania. The writings of faculty and students were digitally printed on Johannot paper, handbound and presented in a custom portfolio, with a dedication page hand illuminated by Mel Abhorn.

This commissioned one-of-a-kind book for celebrity, Heidi Klum was a collaboration with Lorel Marketing Group, working with hand-done illustrations and calligraphy, under a short deadline. The hand-made portfolio case was made with custom book cloth created in our studio using the fabric designed by the celebrity.

Custom book was commissioned for a retiring executive at Comcast. Book was made under a tight deadline with hand-written pages and was presented in a custom made portfolio box to match. Logo was letterpress printed.

This handmade book and portfolio box was commissioned by the Philadelphia Museum of Art as a gift for Mrs. Annenberg. It was a collaborative effort between Tricia Treacy, the late director, Anne d’Haucourt, and the heads of the graphics and development departments, celebrating her many years with the PMA.

President’s office at University of Pennsylvania commissioned us to make this one-of-a-kind parting gift for retiring president, Judith Rodin. The book was encased in a handmade portfolio box and contained well wishes from friends and colleagues.

This is a collection of more than thirty letters written by poet Tom Devaney to Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto in Spring 2001. The book was published by Germ Folios with a letterpress-printed cover hand-sewn by Tricia Treacy, and designed by Nicole Michels.
