We are a letterpress design studio that creates letterpress prints, books, custom stationery, and one-of-a-kind gifts. Aside from our own work, we also letterpress print work by other selected artists and designers and collaborate with other artists on conceptual projects. We are located in the Philadelphia area but work with clients nationwide.

By collaborating with writers, artists, and clients, we specialize in the artistry of letterpress printing to bring ideas to the page. Whether we are designing an announcement for a social event, signage for a gourmet market, or producing an heirloom-quality book to celebrate someone’s career, we create poignant pieces whose meaning will never fade.

We offer the following services : letterpress printing, custom bookbinding, and graphic design.

Pointed Press letterpress design studio is now located in Swarthmore, PA. slightly south of Philadelphia, after seven years in Center City, Philadelphia.

It was founded in 2000 by Tricia Treacy, who runs the studio, designs, prints and leads the custom bookbinding projects. She also teaches graphic design, letterpress and book arts courses at Penn Design.

We collaborate with an assortment of national artists including illustrators, new media artists, fabric designers and other graphic designers.

Studio visits can be arranged by appointment only for individuals and small clases.

Interns are invited to assist on occasion in an all areas of the studio. Interns are arranged several months in advance and require an interview process.
